Vern Yip
Architectural and Interior Design Expert
One room at a time, Vern Yip has designed his way across America – knocking down walls and making over countless homes and restaurants during his four seasons on TLC’s “Trading Spaces,” on NBC’s “Home Intervention” and within his private practice. Vern has spread the word on digital home makeovers through AOL, and he has worked hand-in-hand with companies such as Microsoft, Stainmaster Carpet, Procter & Gamble and Kraft. Vern recently added AT&T to the list, assisting with the launch of the new AT&T U-verse Wireless Receiver. In addition to Vern’s impressive clientele, his HGTV projects include his own show, “Deserving Design with Vern Yip;” the upcoming seventh season of the exciting prime-time series, “Design Star;” and the second year of “Urban Oasis.” Whatever he does, Vern’s award-winning work has a distinct flair that reflects his expertise as both an architectural and interior designer.
Vern runs his own design company in Atlanta, Vern Yip Designs, and his expertise is available to the masses on his website, vernyip.com. Regardless of the budget, Vern’s design calling card is his attention to detail married with precise, clean-lined interiors balanced with a sense of warmth. In 2012, Vern’s design work will expand to include a new frame and home accessories line for the Burnes Company, which will be distributed to retail venues nationwide. His own signature brand, Vern Yip Home, will continue to grow at the Home Shopping Network.

Known as America’s D.I.Y Designer, Frank Fontana is the “High style, Low Cost Decorating Guru;” he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty and do it himself! Known as the real-life “Italian Stallion” of the design world, Frank gained fame as the winner of ABC’s design competition, “The Great Domestic Showdown.” Shortly thereafter, Frank went on to become the host of his first HGTV show, “Takeover My Makeover.”
Today, Frank lives and works in downtown Chicago where he films his variety of D.I.Y. shows, as well as his newest radio and Facebook broadcast venture with Craftsman Tools, “The Down & Dirty.”

Steven Katkowsky gives lectures nationwide, offering his expert advice on updating rooms throughout the home. A regular on ABC TV and HDTV, Steven has also been featured on numerous radio shows and in various publications during his career.
For more than 30 years, Steven has been the owner of Steven’s Incredible Kitchen Machine, designing and remodeling homes in the San Francisco Bay area. In addition to business owner and designer, Steven can now add author to the list with his remodeling guidebook, “Danger Construction Zone: Your Guided Tour to a Successful Remodeling Project.” Steven continues to challenge himself, and he consistently works to accumulate the necessary knowledge and tools for success in the design and remodeling field.
